Designing for Change
A young couple bought this home with every intention of turning it into their dream estate. Then life shifted course. An unexpected move to Southern California meant packing up sooner than planned. To make the transition work, they needed the house ready for market quickly while protecting the investment they had already made in what was meant to be their forever home.We took the home in a mid-century modern direction, leaning into a moody modern style for the exterior. The landscaping brought bold pops of color, and brass light fixtures added warmth to the curb appeal. The kidney-shaped pool stayed in place, but with the new landscape design wrapping around it, the retro shape became a statement feature instead of an afterthought.

Marble, Stone, and Strategic Design
Inside, the goal was to create warmth and a sense of life. We focused on flooring, paint, and lighting to set the tone. The kitchen kept its original layout but received a major refresh with a new island, updated pulls, and a style shift that brought it into the present without starting from scratch. Every paint choice was intentional, pulling tones from the floor-to-ceiling stone on the central fireplace. This created a natural flow between spaces, allowed each room to stand on its own, tied the stone seamlessly into the home's new modern interior, and most importantly, allowed us to reimagine the fireplace rather than investing in replacing it. Newly installed engineered wood flooring grounded the entire home with a warm, modern foundation that complements the mid-century architecture. Designer light fixtures-ranging from sculptural chandeliers to refined accent lighting add layers of sophistication, casting a curated glow that highlights both the home's clean lines and its contemporary updates.
Intentional Design makes an Intentional Home
The overall renovation was strategic, elevating key spaces where it mattered most while finding savings in others. Every choice was made with purpose, blending design impact with investment sense. By the time it hit the market, the home felt complete, polished, and true to its character. It sold quickly, allowing the family to close this chapter with peace of mind and step into their new life in Southern California knowing their investment had been protected and their vision for the home had still been realized.
